Last week takes the cake for one of the most epic weeks in ACCLAIM’s history. Our small but dedicated team of hustlers worked their arses off to pull this event together, I wont list names, you all know who you are. Hard work aside, I was very happy with the way that Buffet turned out. There are definitely some areas that can be improved on but for a ‘first of its kind’ in our region I think we did a good job. The exhibitors were a great bunch of people to work with and I have to send a huge shout-out to everyone for bearing with us throughout the Buffet process. I think everyone in attendance would agree that the vibe throughout was great with so many like-minded people in one room, exchanging ideas, conducting business and generally creating building blocks for our industry. I know a lot of new friendships were forged and from my own experience, it was great to have real face-to-face time with people after years of dealing via email and phone.

Outside of the business hours spent manning booths (and everything else in my case) plenty of partying went down. Jacky Chia and the SUP crew proved that Singaporeans can hold their own in the drinking stakes, in fact I think these guys gave Melbourne a record profit in alcohol sales over the five nights they were in town and all of the international and interstaters in town for Buffet were awesome dudes to chill and party with. Despite the constant stress, I can honestly say I had a lot of fun throughout.

Despite the oppressive heat on the night of the launch party, 1000 Pound Bend proved to be a great venue for the party and the LTRHDS exhibition downstairs was a huge hit with all in attendance. Bigups to Alex Mitchell for putting together such a great show and for selling nearly every piece!

I certainly learnt a lot from the Buffet experience and am already working on a bigger and better concept for the next event so stay tuned!
Thanks to all the exhibitors, the team at Fashion Exposed, the ACCLAIM crew, the DJs, venue staff and everyone else involved.
