Playboy is the mag that cried ‘no nudes’ a year ago, and have since doubled back on that decision. That’s right folks, boobs are back! Coming in with the tagline #NakedIsNormal, the magazine is opting for more of a nude celebration rather than mere exploitation. It’s nice to see they are trying to take steps in an *ethical* direction, although the reality is probably a simple case of that age old rule—sex sells.

With Hugh’s son Cooper Hefner at the helm, it’s pretty much on him to decide how to market this new wave Playboy that is kind-of-okay-but-still-not. So we’ve got Elizabeth Elam gracing the cover, and our new issue also includes an interview with Scarlett Johansson and a user’s guide for cannabis. So the 63-year-old mag is shaking things up by pretty much nobodies standards.

Our verdict? A world where Playboy is no longer seen as problematic probably isn’t possible. When the roots of the company are tainted with sexual assault and rape allegations since it’s beginning, there’s little hope on the horizon of a saintly bunny mag in our books. But hey, at least they got on board with ‘free the nipple.’

You can check out the features of their March/April issue here until the print is available later this month.
