Queen of punk, Vivienne Westwood is publishing a tell-all book

Because reading makes you super punk rock (in a good way)

Posted by

Punk is turning 40 this year, and what better way is there to celebrate it than a book from the Queen of Punk herself, Vivienne Westwood. Known for embodying all that is punk, from anti-establishment views to her unapologetic and unique sense of style, Westwood is still every bit the rebel nowadays as she was back in the ’70s.

Based off her own diary entries from her ‘Climate Revolution’ expeditions, as well as a collection of her thoughts on fashion, the book is set to be as thought provoking and controversial as the British Dame is herself. Having shaped the punk fashion era, the 75-year-old  activist offers an insight like no other.

‘My diaries are about the things I care about. Not just fashion but art and writing, human rights, climate change, freedom’, Westwood told Serpent’s Tail. ‘I call the diaries Get a Life as that’s how I feel: you’ve got to get involved, speak out, and take action.’

Get a Life: The Diaries of Vivienne Westwood by Vivienne Westwood will be released on October 6 this year by Serpent’s Tail.
