Rodriquez at the 2008 Dew Tour and pulling a silver at the X-Games
proves Chaz ain't no one trick pony.
What was the experience like in filming for the State of Mind video?
Filming for the video was sick we went all over to film, did a lot of demos, it was a good time.
There was a lot of traveling had during the filming - what was your favorite trip?
My favorite trip was going to Arizona it was perfect weather and I got a lot done there. Got to go chill at Suski’s and just skated and had fun.
What are some of your favorite spots? Old or newly discovered...
I liked all the spots In AZ and a lot of good spots in Canada but way to many spots to pick one favorite spot.
Did you guys have any sketchy experiences while on tour?
No sketchy memories when I was on tour just a lot of funny ones.
How did you approach your part when filming? Anything you were trying to focus on in particular?
I was just trying to get shit at every spot I went to and just learn some new stuff that no ones seen me do and bring it to the streets.
Describe what filming in NYC in the bitter winter is like...
I filmed a lot of stuff in the winter even when it was snowing but the footage looks sick so it was worth me freezing.
Who in the crew usually pushes you to skate harder?
Brandon pushes me to skate cause he gets down which makes me wanna at least try something at a spot.
What are some upcoming plans leading up to and after the premiere?
Got Maloof Dew tour coming up and X-Games and looking forward to the premiere.
What is your "State of Mind" when you roll into NYC?
NYC is too crazy for me but it's tight when you get a trick on something that's hard to skate cause if someone goes there and sees how hard that obstacle is to skate makes your tricks look 10 times harder.
Chaz also skates for Gatorade, DC Shoes, FKD, Silver and Warp Skatepark.
