If you needed another reason to love Little Simz, the London rapper has seriously come through on a freestyle over Kanye West’s ‘Heard Em Say’ that dropped on SoundCloud earlier today. After asking if she could share her track on Twitter, Simz kicks it off by promising ‘to speak from the heart’ — and does exactly that. This kind of honest and raw rapping isn’t something to be taken for granted, because not just anybody can keep it this real.

With her debut album A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons now on iTunes, the 22-year-old isn’t slowing down anytime soon. With four mixtapes and five EPs under her belt, she still found time to kick it with Bibi Bourelly on her video clip for  ‘Sally’.

Young Simz gets introspective on this freestyle, hitting up everything from fascist politicians to the importance of speaking the truth. It takes quite a bit of maturity to admit you have ‘a lot to learn’ and Little Simz proves once again she is beyond her years on a freestyle that offers ridiculously insightful lines, like ‘being the best is a liability and an asset.’ Added to this of course is her controlled flow, mellow voice, and coupled with Kanye’s beat, this track is definitely one to keep on repeat.
