The Australian music industry is a tough business, there’s no other way to put it. That’s why it was so exciting when this year Levi’s announced the creation of the largest music prize in the country. The prize in collaboration with BIGSOUND gives away $100,000 to acts who have played the industry event in order to help develop their careers. Even better news is that because BIGSOUND is mostly up-and-coming musicians the prize goes to support the future of the industry and those who need it most.

The second round of applications for the Levi’s Music Prize close on December 9, which means it’s time to get that application happening. If you’re an Australian act that played BIGSOUND between 2013–2017 (inclusive) you can apply to score the $25K prize for this quarter.
