ACCLAIM Magazine issue 36 – Versus – Now available

Featuring Kaytranada, Novelist, Goldlink, Stefan Marx, Julie Adenuga, and more

Words by Mitch Parker

Here at ACCLAIM we’re proud to release our second print issue of 2016, Issue 36 ‘Versus’. This issue explores ideas of opposition: meetings of minds; clashes of opinions; something worth fighting for; or how it feels to fail and prevail. ‘Versus’ was guest edited by Max Olijnyk a Wellington-based writer, skater, and clothes maker.

The ‘Versus’ issue cover stars  Kaytranada looking more glowed up than ever. In a rare feature-length interview the Canadian producer discuss life after the release of his hit debut album 99.9%. Kay opens up about his dislike of touring, the creative pressures of producing, and his new life as an openly gay man. Shot in Melbourne during his recent sell-out tour the story is accompanied by photography by Ben Clement.

The issue also features long-form features on grime rapper Novelist, producer Goldlink, illustrator Stefan Marx, Beats 1 host Julie Adenuga, and photographer Tim Hillier.

Additional content includes: Upfronts on London Skate Journal, Daisy Watson, Mallrat, Rita Lino, and Braindead. Style editorials from Rene Vaile, Jordan Drysdale, Charlie White, and Ben Clement. Plus a few more surprises.

Available now.
