01. Lil Uzi Vert – 'XO Tour Llif3' video by Virgil Abloh

Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘XO Tour Llif3’ paints the emotional fallout from his breakup with Brittany Byrd, and the substance abuse involved with alleviating the pain (Xanny makes it go away). The song was penned while on tour with The Weeknd and NAV. The unsettling new film clip directed by Virgil Abloh, features a combination of handycam home videos and stylised horror sequences. Lil Uzi Vert floats in purple water singing “all my friends are dead” while zombies roam the streets.

02. Kelela – 'Frontline'

Kelela’s new track ‘Frontline’ was revealed Sunday night on HBO’s Insecure. It’s an atmospheric, introspective track that begins by introducing the kind of sounds you’d find on ‘80s science-fiction flicks. Once the beat kicks in, Kelela vocalises the conceptual theme: cutting the deadwood from your life. Take a cue from her thumping track and get ready for her debut album, Take me Apart which is out October 6.

03. Erik Sanders – 'Purple Panther'

With exceptional cover art (featuring a panther, a purple sky, and Broadway letterform), Erik Sanders reveals his latest track, Purple Panther. He teams up once again with producer James Angus to create this upbeat, rapid-fire-rap that’s the musical equivalent of a theme park. Jump on the back of Sanders’ purple panther and head for the skyline.

04. Meek Mill – 'Save Me' video

Meek Mill circles the streets of his hometown Philadelphia in the new film clip for ‘Save Me‘. The song features on his album Wins & Losses, and revolves around the idea of Meek attempting to find a version of himself post-celebrity. It’s a notion further explored by his video clip, which sees two versions of Meek in Philadelphia. One roaming high school corridors in a black hoodie, the other in a flash white suit by a street corner. Hang out till the end of the clip for a live, hometown rendition of the track, and keep an eye out for the Wins & Losses deluxe edition.

06. Kaytranda releases three new beat tracks on Soundcloud

Kaytranada has just uploaded three new tracks onto Soundcloud. He tweeted on Saturday that the tracks exist independently, “Three new jawns on my soundcloud, no project related, just beats.” The beats all embody Kaytranada’s willingness to create complex beats that bind together vast musical styles, something we saw on his debut album 99.9%. Fingers crossed we hear about a new album soon.
