Childish Gambino is heading up Falls Festival this year

Full line-up announced on August 23

Posted by

Falls Festival announced the dates for this year’s event earlier this morning, as well as revealing just one of the headlining artists and that’s probably enough information for fans to throw their money at organisers. Childish Gambino may have been low-key this year, but he’s obviously been keeping busy, with a television series and new album in the works, and we’re not quite sure which one we’re more hype about. Pharos is expected later this year, so hopefully this means we’ll have a bunch of new sounds to jam along to when Falls finally rolls around in December.

The festival will be heading back to all the old haunts of Lorne, Byron Bay, and Marion Bay across the New Years Eve weekend, and now our mates in the west are coming along for the ride. The first WA-based Falls Festival event will take place on January 7 and 8 in Fremantle this time, which should save a lot of punters an airfare or two.

This is, of course, just the beginning, with the full line-up and purchase info to be announced on August 23. But with a headliner like Gambino already in the mix, we’d say your ticket price is going to be worth it.

Keep an eye online for more details soon.
