Today, Converse announces the global launch of its second sneaker collection with French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela. Since the huge success of the brand’s first collaboration last September, the new release extends and evolves upon the original partnership.

The new release shoes present a white overpaint concept with the Converse All Star Chuck ’70 and Converse Jack Purcell sneakers in premium leather. The more the shoes are worn, the more the overpaint loosens its hold, elegantly cracking to reveal the selected shoes hidden, bold colour.

The original colourways from the Converse archives are revealed through four distinctive styles:

Amber Glow (Converse All Star Chuck ’70)
True Navy (Converse All Star Chuck ’70)
Azure Blue (Converse Jack Purcell)
Biking Red (Converse Jack Purcell)

The sneakers feature a discreet Maison Martin Margiela logo on the tongue of the shoe, with both silhouettes accented with painted and non-painted lace options. The Converse Maison Martin Margiela sneaker collection will be available exclusively in Australia to Up There Store, Melbourne (Level 1/15 McKillop Street only) at a RRP of $300 from Saturday 24 May.
