Sydney local Marcus Whale has just dropped his debut single ‘If (Demo)’ which is an eerie, yet pretty, piece of musical ambiguity. It’s very easy now to keep making music like everyone else around you—to always be overly influenced by whatever is hot property. This isn’t but it damn well should be.  It has beautiful vocals, and rises gradually like I do most mornings.. it feels like the songwriting process started in bed and ended up outside, dressed up, in a club… but not a dingy club. A real nice club. A club with pretty people, and pretty music.

I’d say Marcus Whale is one to watch, but after you hear ‘If (Demo)’, you’ll already know.
