Earlier this week, (or last year, for all those that think New Year’s jokes are funny), Toro y Moi dropped four tracks on SoundCloud, all hashtagged #rare. Two of the songs – ‘3-4-12b’ and ‘4-5-12b’ – were initially released as part of the single ‘Lyin (Part 1-4)’ on a split 7″ with Dog Bite. The other two songs –’Couplegirls’ and ‘2 – 1-12b’ – appear to be fresher drops, previously unheard. These releases come only months after his surprise mixtape Samantha, which was also fresh off the back of his fifth studio album What For? Hopefully Toro y Moi is gearing up for another music-packed year.
