Tkay Maidza drops new tune ‘Simulation’, continues to slay

Debut album 'TKAY' is set for release 28 October

Can she do any wrong? Tkay has just dropped her latest tune, the third single from her upcoming debut album TKAY, following her latest releases ‘Carry On’ and ‘Tennies’. She co-wrote the track, alongside DJ and producer LK McKay and George Maple. “It’s so common that people get lazy when they feel content because they have partially achieved their goals and are living the way they dreamt about, thus beginning to think it’ll last forever,” Tkay spoke about the new track. “I have noticed that things constantly change, so when something doesn’t go to plan it’s like cracks in the simulation become visible.”

Tkay is continuing to reach new heights, following her nomination for ‘Best New International Act’ at the 2016 BET Awards. Speaking about her upcoming album, she’s described TKAY as a soundtrack to a high school girl’s life. “It’s about feeling lost but then finding your way out,” she says. “There are moments of confidence and moments of feeling lonely, but at the same time knowing that you don’t need anyone or anything to be strong.” She’s got a lot to be smiling about.
