Carhartt WIP keeps your dungaree dreams alive

How to look as fresh as Blinky Bill

Posted by

Carhartt WIP has dropped its lookbook for the imminent fall/winter season (dw Australia probs still has some cold days up its sleeve). Fresh off their trip to Japan to shoot a capsule, the brand has returned with a classic collection that exhibits their commitment to finding a balance between high quality fashion and durable work wear.

Possibly our favourite piece overall are those dungarees, complete with a classic pocket on the bib, these babies are easy to adapt into a spring wardrobe and would undoubtedly become one of those pieces you can’t possibly look fly without.

The collection is a throwback to ’90s Carhartt and the pieces that brought the Detroit label into the limelight in Europe. The fall/winter drop sees Carhartt work with bold graphics on their long-sleeves, a rework of their camo army print on pants and jackets, as well as some class flannelette shirts.

Carhartt WIP has created a functional yet fashionable collection that could be seen just as easily in a cool Melbourne bar as on a work site. The entire fall/winter ’16 collection has been split into parts to create distinct stories. This season’s collaborators include the likes of Isle Skateboards with artist Raphael Zarka who designed skate decks, as well as Pelago and Mission Workshop who designed custom bikes for the drop.

Peep some of our favourite pieces in the gallery above, with photography by Maciek Pożoga, or check out the full lookbook here,
