Footnotes is a weekly wrap-up of everything that’s happening in the world of sneakers. It’s your cheat sheet to the latest news like new drops, collabs, sales, store openings, and anything else related to what you put on your feet.

01. How to buy "The Ten" in Australia

Supply Store in Sydney have been announced as the Australian stockist for “The Ten’ by Nike x Virgil Abloh. The raffles are already live on the Supply website, so you better get over there now. You have until 6pm EDST on November 6 to enter and you can only enter once per shoe. There’s a catch though, you have to pick up the shoes from “a Sydney location” in person. No excuses and no proxies—your ID has to match your raffle entry. Why the terms and conditions don’t name the location as Supply Store could mean that we’re in for an interesting surprise.

02. Stance release 'Thriller' inspired collection

If your sneaker game is on point then your sock game should be too, that’s where Stance comes in. The brand reinvigorated the sock market with their pop culture references and celebrity collabs with Rihanna and Gucci Mane. Now they’re paying tribute to one of the most iconic music videos of all time, ‘Thriller’. The limited edition Michael Jackson’s Thriller collection features three socks paying tribute to all three of Jackson’s Triller looks. There’s the unforgettable red leather jacket, the zombie from the dance sequence, and the final scene werewolf. The socks are available locally this November from Platypus Shoes, City Beach, Culture Kings, and other local Stance retailers.

03. N.E.R.D. x adidas Hu NMD

N.E.R.D. burst back on to the scene with their new track ‘Lemon‘ featuring Rihanna this week. There’s also kicking off their comeback with an exclusive pair of adidas Hu NMDs to celebrate their upcoming performance at Complex Con. The Hu NMD silhouette is synonymous with Pharrell so of course it made perfect sense as a collab sneaker. The top of the each foot reads out “Y*O*U” and “N*E*R*D”with the classic Shepard Fairey-designed N.E.R.D. brain logo on the heel, and graphic-printed insoles.

04. Nike Vapormax Flyknit Moc

Since it’s debut earlier this year Nike’s Vapormax has continued to be one of the hottest silhouettes on the market. Now with an established fan base Nike have been playing around with different tweaks to the model to satisfy fans hungry for more. One of the most popular changes to the Vapormax silhouette is when it leans in to sock like minimalism. The Nike Vapormax Flyknit Moc is one of these models, which is sock like in body with a large band over the top completed with a giant swoosh. From the looks of things there seems to be three colourways: olive green, rainbow fly, and sure fire hit: triple black.

05. Concepts x New Balance 999 'The Kennedy'

New Balance are collabing with Concepts to bring back the 999 ‘Kennedy’ model, inspired by former US President John F. Kennedy. The sneaker takes inspiration from JFK’s ties to New England, as shown in the nautical colours giving a nod to Cape Cod. The original version of this model was released back in 2011 and became an instant hit. If you’re looking to try your luck at copping a pair the second time around you’ll need to head to Complex Con to get this exclusive release.
