Everyone has a favourite teenage trend but what if you could see what you would look like if you were a teenager in a different generation? 16-year-old high school student Annalisa Hartaub was able to create that situation for herself.

“I’ve always been fascinated, and a bit infatuated, with counterculture and how it shapes society and mainstream culture as well. So I decided to mix that interest with my love of fashion, makeup, and photography to create something”.

Using herself as a model, Hartaub took a series of photos dressed in various decade’s quintessential mainstream and counterculture looks. Digitally altering a series to match the style and medium of the various decades, Hartaub successfully captures the essence of different time periods. She’s managed to do the whole past ten decades.
