Talk about dedication – or obsession. LEGO builder and Batman enthusiast Thorsten Bonsch has spent the past year creating his own grim version of Arkham Asylum, which most of us have come to know and love from the video game series. As you can see below, this project is not for your average pre-schooler, or even a slightly impatient adult.

The structure is suitably macabre and incredibly detailed, turning into somewhat of a Where’s Wally with popular characters including Batman, Poison Ivy and Clayface scattered throughout the build. You can really get lost in the detailed online rendering alone, but if you’re wondering how Bonsch achieved such a feat, he’s kindly uploaded a free step-by-step manual which you can download or view here…all 82 pages of it.
