Have you ever taken a sick snap and thought “Damn, I wish there was an opportunity to send it through to Wikipedia and get cash for it?” Well, it seems as though your prayers have been answered. Wiki Loves Earth is coming to Australia and they want your beautiful Australian photos. For money.
But hold on for a second, there are a couple of rules first: the image must be two megapixel minimum image, must be self-taken, must be of a protected area (or its flora or fauna) in Australia, must be appropriately described and categorised and must be uploaded during the given time slot (1–31 May 2016). Sound easy? The world is now your oyster. 10 images will be chosen by a judging panel, with each winner receiving $100. The ultimate winner will also receive a canvas print of their entry.
