Forget hearts, rosettas and tulips, a Louisiana barista working at Starbucks has etched a pentagram and a ‘666’ into a school teacher’s brew and the pictures, along with the teachers notably diplomatic complaint have gone viral.

Megan Pinion didn’t get the chance to check the crafty baristas nametag as she allegedly “couldn’t bring herself to look at him” but she took to Facebook to vent her shock…

“I am a teacher in the public school system and if I were to present a child of atheist or pagan believers with a Christian art project I could be sued in a heartbeat. I am of Catholic faith and would love to share in my beliefs daily. Fortunately I have enough common sense to present myself with professionalism and follow an ethics code. Perhaps that could be suggested to that particular location.”

She went on to say that “I do believe that it would be equally unprofessional to put a Christian symbol on someone’s coffee. It would be offensive to any number of Non-Christians.” Way to be politically correct Megan.

Starbucks have released a statement with an equally hilarious guess at what the drink actually was. “We’re taking the complaint seriously. We’re not sure who served her or what kind of beverage it was. It looks kind of caramel-ish in the photos.”

Disclaimer, before you congratulate yourself for that awesome pun you just thought up…  Just when you thought coffee couldn’t get much darker than a long black or, our favorite, “satattes”?
