Extremely talented musician/photographer/generally creative lord Ta-Ku, has joined forces with VSCO to create his own preset collection. In a VSCO journal post, he explains, “Ever since I was a child. I struggled with identifying color [sic]. At times it would be embarrassing. Other times it would be fascinating.”

Attendees of CARBON Festival 2014 will have already heard of Ta-Ku’s backstory, but for the uninitiated, he recaps his rise on the blog: he wanted to study graphic design, but due to his insecurities from being colourblind, he instead worked full time as a corporate salesman for a health insurance company, before he left to become a musician. The post describes how he triumphed over his self-doubt and became a photographer. Ta-Ku’s music was known for being moody, much like the colour tones he uses to edit his photos. “Naturally due to my colour blindness – I edit my photos in what some people call a dull/moody/desaturated way. To me though – it looks just right.”

To celebrate his success and new preset, he sent his friends some of his artwork and asked them to “score” them by using his photos and their music to tell a story. That being said, we have created a list of all of the entrancing outcomes below. For the full post, click here.
