Getting a break in any biz, let alone the showbiz, is a tough gig. However, Mountain Dew have just started up a new film initiative called Green Label Studios, and they’re on the hunt for fresh-faced, a-voice-of-a-generation filmmakers to create content for their rapidly-growing brand. If your ears aren’t pricking up, they should be.

The ‘Dew have teamed up with acclaimed director and Quentin Tarantino’s BFF Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Machete, Spy Kids) to create the opportunity for an emerging filmmaker to win $250,000 and to work on a short film under Rodriguez’ mentorship.

An open call has been set for people to send in videos that embody the alliterative slogan ‘Do the Dew’, with 10 of the best being selected into the next round that will see them creating another video, this time with a $10,000 provided budget. The grand winner will then be decided at Green Studios in New York.

“We want professional and aspiring creators to submit content that embodies ‘doing the Dew,’” said Greg Lyons, VP for marketing. “It doesn’t matter what the content is as long as it embodies the spirit of the brand.”

Watch the open call video for more details and send your submissions towards the Green Studios’ official website. Good luck, amigos.
