25th ward in Chicago’s Lower West side is a melting pot of cultures, influences, and creeds hosting Little Italy, Chinatown, and a large Latino community. Home to a lot of love and a little bit of neglect, Chicago’s Alderman Danny Solis created the Art in Public Places initiative to brighten up the grey areas.
The latest artists to add their touch are Chicago-native POSE and Melbourne-bred Dabs Myla who’ve done an epic mishmash of pop styles and influences which fits very much with the diversity of the area. A piece that makes no sense but perfect sense at the same time.
