Ania (AKA Inky Merz Hausmann) is a Sydney-based artist born and raised in Russia with a deep love of the literature, motifs and history of her motherland. She blends elements of European imagery with aspects of Japanese contemporary culture, manga and anime to create works that evoke a sense of referentiality while portraying striking and original concepts. She can’t be held down to a handful of mediums either, experimenting with watercolour, oil paints, ink, digital tools and even animation.
