The 3D ‘Digitiser’ Desktop Scanner takes the code-writing out of digitising objects to print. Now you can simply pop an object on the special turntable, and ‘woosh’ it gets scanned in to the computer. CEO of MakerBot, one of the world leaders in 3D printing, introduced the new 3D ‘Digitizer’ Desktop Scanner at SXSW Interactive. Apparently the scanner should be available in the US fall – check the MakerBot website for updates.
