Design Exchange, Canada’s only non-for profit design museum has teamed up with Pharrell Williams to launch a brand new urban-vinyl exhibition – This Is Not A Toy. For anyone who’s ever felt a little disconnected to the art-world, this one’s for you. Urban vinyl as an art form plays with expectations of what a toy is and in turn, what art is.

This Is Not A Toy presents a tightly-edited selection of work from some of the most prolific toy designers in urban vinyl and other contemporary artists who have been inspired by the toy form. Including Takashi Murakami, KAWS, Yoshitomo Nara, FriendsWithYou, Coarse, Huck Gee, Frank Kozik, Misaki Kawai, Doma, Bill McMullen and even some pieces from Pharrell’s own personal collection.
