There’s no doubt that New York is perhaps the world’s most visually creative city. The world of visual advertising reigns, and the muralists at Colossal Media find their job painting walls high up in the Big Apple seriously rewarding.

‘Wall Dog’ was a phrase coined in the 1920s, and since the 1800s mural artists have expressed their art form across the walls of the world. In this short clip, Jason Coatney and Armando Balmaceda offer another insight into the day in the life of a wall dog, for Tumblr’s STORYBOARD series.

With the bustling city breathing heavily below them, the guys take sanction high up above with their melange of paint cans, and add their own colours to the New York landscape. Painting is the game all year ’round for these guys; whether it be 0 or 100 degrees – they bust it out, ‘coz it’s what they love to do.
