Ever watched Futurama and thought “I’d like to create this kind of stuff”? Ever wished that that there was a tool to animate your visions? Apparently, this is no longer just a dream. The animation industry has been turned on its head, thanks to Toonz Premium Animation Software’s recent announcement that a free version of their platform, OpenToonz, will be available soon. Yep, at zero cost.

For those non-enthusiasts, Toonz is the chosen software of Rough Draft (responsible for Futurama) and Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro).

Despite a premium version of the software continuing at a competitive price, anyone will be able to download the free version as of March 26. Let your creative juices run wild.
