With the latest Star Wars adaptation set to hit theatres in coming months, Disney have decided to capitalise on the hype surrounding its imminent release by dropping a major announcement at its D23 Expo this weekend. In 2017, construction will begin to make way for not one, but two Star Wars-themed lands at the existing California and Orlando Disney resorts. Set to span across 14-acres, the new addition to the parks will feature “two signature attractions, one in which guests have the ability to take the control of the Millennium Falcon and the other, an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle.” CEO Bob Iger went on to ensure the audience that ever inch of Star Wars land will seem authentic, with stores and dining facilitates to be staffed by “local inhabitants” of various Star Wars worlds.

While no other details have been made, judging by the concept images (which are in our gallery above), the latest attraction will be nothing short of amazing. Keep doing you, Disney.
