This is not going to help our international mates’ conception that Australians are constantly under threat by our native animals. Reports out of north Queensland say that huge pythons are making their way into residents’ toilets because, well, they’re thirsty. Experts say the dry breeding season has forced snakes to find shelter and water wherever they can get it and in at least two occasions, this has meant probably giving residents heart attacks by posting up in their toilets.

According to AAP, snake catcher Elliot Budd was called to a property in Townsville, where he was required to coax a 2.4 metre carpet python out of the loo. While this is definitely something out of our nightmares, I think we all know what Samuel L. Jackson would have to say about this…
