Converse have long had roots in subcultures that centre around a DIY attitude – from punk to hip-hop to skate the sneakers have long been the favourites of those who don’t mind getting hands-on in the pursuit of their passions. Now Converse are paying respect to that lineage with their recently announced CONS project – an initiative that brings skateboarding legends including Kenny Anderson, Nick Trapasso, Mike Anderson, Andrew Brophy, Bryce Golder, and Dean Palmer together for a series of Melbourne-based workshops.

The events will be held on the weekends of the 7th and 14th of June, and will cover everything from DIY spot construction using wood and concrete, to learning to shoot and edit your own skate photos and videos. It’s all going down at 17 – 23 Wills Street, Melbourne and spots are super limited. The demand for this one is going to be through the roof, so make sure you jump over to the CONS project website for the full schedule and registration form.
