David Sikorski, a writer from San Francisco, was growing increasingly frustrated seeing all of the rapturous couples and gleaming infants populating the real estate of his social feeds. Deciding to finally take matters into his own hands, this led him to ask professional photographer Kristina Bakrevski to document his blissful union with the love of his own life; a carne asada burrito from Taqueria La Cumbre in Frisco’s Mission District.

David took to the streets of SF to celebrate his romance, taking artful shots with his new beau-rito at locales like Ocean Beach, Alamo Square and the Golden Gate Bridge. The images depict a passion between the two that burns as intensely as the hottest jalapeño, and a love that will envelop your heart as tightly as a well-folded tortilla.

The happy couple haven’t yet set a date, but that’s perhaps for the best; unfortunately, with the way these things can go, a few cracks are already starting to show. “I got hungry during the shoot and a second burrito was needed to step in,” Sikorski said. While polyamory might not yet be a mainstream option for soon-to-be-wed couples, maybe that little Mexican girl was onto something–why not have both? See the images for yourself and reignite your belief in true love by checking out the gallery above.
