Louis CK speaks on quitting the internet (for now)

"I don't like the way it feels anymore"

So, Louis CK has announced that he has quit the internet and we’re not sure how to feel about this one. Speaking on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Louis discusses his reasoning behind such an earth-shattering decision. “I’m not on the internet. I mean, I quit the internet. For now,” he begins. “I don’t like the way it feels anymore.”

“I look at things I know are going to upset me. I guess I just like the hit,” he tells Conan. “Like, I’ll go on my computer and I’ll google an image I don’t want to see, so then I see a whole wall of it. You know, like ‘big dicks with nails in them’.” We’ve all been there too Louie. Right?

But the main reason behind his decision? His daughters, and the way in which his phone often stopped Louie talking to them. “She dies inside every time I do this,” speaking of one of his children.

So how’s life in the real world been treating him? “It’s been about a month. I haven’t googled anything. I just go walk up to people and ask them questions and stuff. Which is more fun. ” Admirable stuff. He’s even read Pride and Prejudice since the technical hiatus: “It was really good, but they’re crazy. Tell him you like him. It’s annoying.” His daughters are proud of him now, too. “I think people should know that it has an impact on your kids if you stop looking at the stupid internet. Sorry.”

You should be, Louie.
