Postcards: Jess LaFrankie in Egypt

From sand to sea with the Melbourne photographer

‘Postcards’ is an ongoing series that examines the links between travel and creative practise. Each week we ask some of our favourite designers, artists, photographers, and musicians to share some of their latest trips, accompanied by a few short words. In this week’s instalment, Melbourne photographer Jess LaFrankie takes us through her favourite images from a recent and unforgettable trip to Egypt.

“Travelling through Egypt was the most phenomenal and enriching experience. From snorkelling in the Red Sea to entering the Pyramids, climbing Mount Sinai, sailing down the Nile, hot air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings, singing around a Nubian campfire and quad biking through the desert, this was an adventure of a lifetime and should be on everyone’s bucket list.”
