A bizarre trend in ATM robbery has emerged in Russia and the Ukraine, seeing explosives being used to tear 20 cash machines out of the walls of shops and apartment buildings. Thieves literally blow cash, pumping the machines full of propane which they later ignite, sending debris over 50 metres from the machine. As insane as this all might sound it’s actually quite effective, with around $2.5 million ($63,000) rupees being stolen in each incident.
