Hot damn the Tamagotchi has done what we wished our own could have done and come back to life. The new generation is called Tamagotchi Friends and won’t require you to feed it every thirty minutes like the ones you killed. However it will still lay creepy eggs and Kid-Crack version 2.0 allows you to bump the units together so your Tamagotchis can go on play dates and text each other.

The aliens from planet Tamagotchi are set to land early 2014.
