Want to be an extra in the next Trainspotting movie?

Hey, remember that rad film Trainspotting? That 90s film with a baby-faced, potty-mouthed Ewan McGregor? We recently showed you guys the trailer for Trainspotting 2 and, now, it looks like they’re wanting you to join in.

Next Tuesday June 14 at 4pm, Trainspotting 2 needs extras at the Cav Edinburgh, the largest nightclub in Edinburgh. “Danny Boyle and the original cast will be in town for a very special ’80s bash,” reads the Facebook event. Sure, that doesn’t sound too groundbreaking, but there is a little disclaimer within the event description that also reminds you that your attendance there may be used for ‘promoting or exploiting the film’.

And yes, we realise that this is in the UK, but we’ve given you a week’s notice. We also hear there are some great deals going at the moment.

But wait. Being an extra comes with a few requirements though: you must be available all day on the June 14, you must be within 18-30 years of age, and you must be dressed in ’80s attire. Do you fit the bill? Initiate Stage 2.

There’ll be prizes for the best ’80s constumes, including a 40” 4K TV, a Picturehouse cinema membership, cinema tickets, and signed Trainspotting & Irvine Welsh goodies. “Spaces are limited and admission to the event is not guaranteed” they warn, so start brainstorming your fabulous ’80s looks, and pitch your tent outside the Cav.
