I was never good at the Etch a Sketch. I was too impatient and was too accustomed to the ability to erase, re-do, CTRL+Z. But shit was still fun and remains an iconic plaything for kids (and adults) across the generations. The toy’s creator André Cassagnes passed away at the beginning of this year and in his memory, Christoph Neimann from The New York Times, put together this adorable and moving short animation in the style of the Etch a Sketch.
