DEER kicked off our monthly mix collaboration with Grey Marle all the way back in January. Where that one was filled with pop beats and unheard DEER tracks, this one goes deep into hip-hop and trap bass bangers – careening between snippets of familiar verses and bouncy hooks. It’s an excellent follow-up to his previous effort and an undeniable highlight of the GMM Mix series thus far. And don’t worry, he still slipped in a few unreleased tracks of his own.
Grey Marle Music is the collective that keeps some of your favourite forward-thinking creatives cosy. It’s made up of musicians CHIEFS, DEER, Dugong Jr, Fossa Beats, Mikey Hundred, along with menswear maverick Alexandra Hackett (A.L.C.H.).
