Those paying attention to the Bay Area indie imprint SWTBRDS should be familiar with the work of Ammbush with the beat-maker producing for label-mate and ACCLAIM favourite DaVinci and fellow bay area crew Main Attrakionz amongst others. Moving from beyond the boards and to the booth for his debut free album Ammbaataa, Ammbush is looking to prove he has the lyrical ability and personality to take centre stage, who are we to argue. Ammbaataa, an obvious play on Afrika Bambaataa, comes in at 15 tracks deep and features a smattering of self produced songs along with further production provided by fellow SWTBRD affiliates, Al Jieh, REL and more, lyrical assists come from E.L.S., DaVinci and others.
