22-year-old virtuoso Aries is self-made in every sense of the word. From independently releasing his self-written and self-produced debut album WELCOME HOME to selling out all 21 of his debut shows across 2 continents, this young visionary has an impressive track record that is near impossible to ignore. The Orange County-raised multi-talent grew up in a musical household, taking inspiration from his father who was a professional violinist. 13-year-old Aries would have much rather stayed at home making music than be out socialising like his peers and so, he began developing his artistry at a young age from the comfort of his own bedroom. Aries started out writing raps, teaching himself how to produce beats and replaying Linkin Park’s live DVDs, hoping one day that would be him up on that stage.
On track to make his vision a reality, Aries put his self-taught skills to use and took an unconventional route to fame, creating a Youtube channel premised on recreating the beats of popular songs like Playboi Carti’s Magnolia and Lil Uzi Vert’s XO Tour Llif3 when they were on the cusp of blowing up. Racking up millions of views and having built a community of 200,000 music lovers on his channel, Aries had created the perfect environment to start pushing his own music. Throughout 2018, the genre-fusing artist revealed a unique new sound by matching his melodic vocals with rock and rap-infused production on singles like ‘SAYONARA’ and ‘CAROUSEL’, moulding his subscriber count into a cult fanbase.
Fast forward to today, Aries has stretched his creative ingenious beyond music, having designed his debut album’s artwork, self-directed his own music videos and successfully launched his own brand WUNDERWORLD, featuring his very own clothing designs and illustrations. Awe-inspiring, this is just the tip of the iceberg for this visionary wizard. With his recent releases like ‘FOOL’S GOLD’ and ‘DITTO’, Aries is dropping his highly anticipated album BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU, a body of work showcasing his heartbreaking vocals and musical prowess. In his own words, the 12-track album “serves as the losses and the lessons I’ve gone through and learned over the past 2 years,” marking a new musical era his fans have been waiting for. With the hype built around this drop, Aries is a must-watch artist on the rise.
