Beyoncé has been keeping a pretty low profile lately—her social media accounts haven’t been attended to as fervently as they used to and there hasn’t been a peep of major Mrs Carter news in the tabloids. Maybe she was laying low in light of all this Tidal drama. Maybe she was too busy keeping up with all the rap ‘beef’ that’s been simmering online. We should have know better.

Leaking initially via social media yesterday, it’s now confirmed that Queen Bey has become the first African American musician to grace the illustrious September cover of Vogue magazine. Nothing too risqué—unless you count her recent obsession with super-fitted sheer, beaded gowns (which we’re not complaining about)—Beyoncé does Beyoncé on the hgh fashion cover and accompanying editorial. You can check out some of the Mario Testino-shot images in the gallery above and head to Vogue online for a preview of the editorial (including some cheeky BTS videos). The September issue hits newsstands (are they still a thing) on August 25.
