Cash Money Inc. and Apple Music have just announced a deal to produce an exclusive documentary series for the tech giant, reports Bloomberg. Rumours of a collaboration were confirmed earlier with an Instagram photo showing Cash Money co-founder, Bryan Williams, aka Birdman, posing and holding his chin suggestively with Apple Music executive, Larry Jackson.
This has countered rumours spreading online which said that Apple was planning to purchase and secure all of Cash Money’s releases, including those of megastars Drake, Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj, who is also a co-owner of rival music streaming service, TIDAL.
This continues Apple Music’s latest marketing strategy to produce more exclusive video content.
Earlier this year, The Hollywood Reporter reported that seminal rapper and producer, Dr Dre had signed with Apple to produce and star in the semi-autobiographical series, Vital Signs.
Apple and Cash Money are yet to announce a release date for the series, or any further information on the collaboration
