Future’s new album Future Hndrxx Presents: The Wizrd has been making rounds over the last week, and eagle-eyed fans have noticed something pretty surprising: Corbin, the artist once known as Spooky Black, co-produced a song. ‘Krazy But True’ features production from the man behind the 2014 viral hit ‘Without You’, with additional production credits for Distance Decay, Frankie Bash and Wheezy. We can’t say what Corbin exactly did on the track, the sounds reminds us of his 2017 album Mourn.

In late 2014 Corbin dropped the Spooky Black moniker and started going by his birth name, before essentially disappearing after the release of his single ‘Worn’. Besides a couple of live shows, Corbin was completely quiet up until the release of his Shlohmo and D33J produced album Mourn in 2017. Since then, he’s embarked on a US tour and released a song called ‘Wretch’ on Soundcloud.

Corbin’s home of Minnesota seems to have become a low-key hotspot over the past year. Other local producers like Bobby Raps and Psymun have landed placements on Young Thug’s Slime Language and Future & Juice WRLD’s WRLD On Drugs.
