Miley Cyrus’ stint as host of this year’s MTV VMAs is now infamous, even by MTV standards, but who would have expected anything less? Constant near-nudity (and some full nudity), foul language, risqué musical performances, and some pretty tense shade featured throughout the PG-rated televised awards. We have to admit, it did make for some riveting watching, as well as great internet reactions and a bevy of awesome merchandise. Expectedly, not everyone could see the pop culture through the sleeze and some took to the good old complaint letter to voice their opinion.

Rolling Stone managed to obtain these complaints (there was only about 20, so maybe we’re finally starting to get over the whole thing) and they are almost as entertaining as the VMAs themselves. Obviously, a lot of people took offence to pretty much everything we mentioned above but Miley’s nipple was definitely the last straw. Some of the key complaints included:

“MTV used to be decient [sic] now there is cuss words, Nipple slip by Miley Cyrus, I will not be watch[ing] MTV programming no more.”

“Please do not televise this garbage. It is not fit for any human being to see.”

“Miley wore barely any clothing and even flashed her breasts without any sensory [sic] at all.”

“I understand that she wants publicity, but I do not want to see her breasts. My 19-year-old son complained as well.”

Read more of the complaints Rolling Stone managed to pull here (and check out what made people so mad in the gallery above).
