The final lineup for burgeoning urban music festival Supafest was announced on Saturday and I’m not gonna lie… I’m stoked. What was once a bit of a ‘secret pleasure’ festival for many (full disclosure: last year’s Nelly backed with a live band was truly amazing, I’m sorry) has evolved into a bonafide epic R&B and hip-hop extravaganza.
In addition to P. Diddy, Kelly Rowland, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, Ice Cube and Trey Songz, Paperchase Touring just announced Missy Elliot, Naughty by Nature, Chris Brown and interestingly Big Sean. Not bad.
It’s the biggest urban lineup to ever hit the country and I think tickets are gonna sell pretty fast because of this (there’s more people into urban music in this country than the heavily white old man controlled oz music biz would have you realise). Dates and prices below. I’d like to put in a request for The Dream and Drake for Supafest 2013 at this stage. Thank you.
