From his debut mixtape Machine back in 2015 to his latest release Spaghetto, GAIKA’s unique style of artistically putting organic sounds into mechanical and almost inhumane-like spaces is unexplainable, but needlessly hypnotising. As a musician who exists between the blurred boundaries of several genres and worlds, GAIKA easily showcases his skills as both a vocalist and a producer, deeming him the musical equivalent of Basquiat. While experimental in his own right, GAIKA knows how to make consistent tracks that explore influences and emotions in an entrancing way, and he’s won some famous support from similarly innovative artists, scoring a collaboration with Mykki Blanco. Don’t miss the Brixton-born beatmaker when he blesses Australian shores with several shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Hobart in June.
