With his latest mixtape Another Day in Paradise set to drop on May 27, and featuring such names as Travi$ Scott, Lil Wayne, and Juicy J, the time to get to know Roc Nation signee Belly is now. Born in Jenin, Palestine, but hailing from Canada, Belly has been bubbling beneath the surface of the mainstream for a while now. Having already worked with some huge names (Snoop Dogg, The Weeknd, Ginuwine, among others) and having earned a grand total of six writing credits on The Weeknd’s hugely popular 2015 album Beauty Behind The Madness, as well as having dropped one of 2015’s hottest mixtapes Up For Days, Belly is now turning his attention to 2016.
Having only recently dropped the official video for ‘Zanzibar’, his Juicy J collab from the new project due later this week, the XO affiliate is prepping Another Day in Paradise to further launch him in to the mainstream consciousness. If past tracks such as ‘Might Not’ and ‘White Girls’, featuring The Weeknd and Travi$ Scott respectively, are anything to go by, the attention has been a long time coming. Peep ‘Zanzibar’ above and keep your eyes peeled to Belly’s Twitter and Soundcloud for the new project to drop on Friday.
