FKA twigs vented lyrical frustration at being recognised for her past as a backup dancer and not for her recent musical accolades on recent release ‘Video Girl’. But where that track was a retrospective, Pendulum is a forward-facing effort to showcase her credentials as a musician.

The second release from her forthcoming debut, the sensibly titled LP1, FKA blends her tripped-out R&B sensibilities with an unsettling series of portraits and a screenshot of the unreleased accompanying video clip.

‘Pendulum’ is reportedly one of Twigs’ favourite songs on her new record and it’s easy to see why with its serious slow-jam chops.

The first preview of LP1, ‘Two Weeks’, is a little deeper on the beat and hopefully indicative of the kind of surreal imagery we can expect from the ‘Pendulum’ video.
