South London is killing it at the moment and Rachel Keen, known professionally as RAYE, is generating a lot of the momentum. The 18-year old, signed with Polydor Records, has just dropped her latest offering, ‘Ambition’, featuring vocals from well-known Croydon rapper Stormzy. And it’s impressive. The R&B tune channels dream-like, late night vibes. It’s laid-back but vicious in its lyrical execution. “Now, I made it this far. But this far ain’t nothing,” Raye spits. “I wanna ride my money like a wave.” She’s not here to mess around.

RAYE recently spoke to Noisey about the collab. “[Stormzy] is exactly like-minded on ambition and success, so connected to this concept immediately. I have so much respect for his opinions, taste and his approach to writing music. We share a similar passion for being crazy about mad lyrics. He’s a real g.”
