Listen: Vic Mensa – ‘Danger’

Ye casually bumped SoundCloud mid-album drop and Vic delivered

Posted by

After taking advantage of probably the most opportune time to hit up theAUX chord, Vic Mensa has released ‘Danger,’ which we heard at The Life of Pablo screening this week.

Produced by Papi Beatz, the single seems to take some dangerous shots, with what seems like a mention at Drake’s track ‘Summer Sixteen.’ Vic spits that he “don’t like the way that ni**as talking like they bulletproof… Till they gotta find out what a bullet do / Catch two in your Canada Goose / It’ll turn a ni**a into proof.”

This seems like a direct reference to Drizzy’s line “Tell Obama that my verses are like the whips that he in, they bulletproof.” This of course brings us to a full circle after the 6 God took a lowkey shot at the size of Kanye’s pool on the same song.

Despite not being on TLOP, to our current knowledge, Vic continues to produce the goods and the track is already going in on SoundCloud. And you never know, with Ye’s album still awaiting an official release, we might see even more changes from the two Chi-town reps.

You can listen to the Chicago rapper’s first track of 2016 below. And don’t forget, you can check Vic performing live during his upcoming Australian tour in April—full tour details here.
